As head of standards and research for cloud and network services (CNS) at Nokia, Melody Fallah Khair oversees all 6G and 5G research and prototyping activities. Melody Fallah Khair defines and upholds the company’s CNS standards, with a focus on the development of advanced autonomous networks with self-operating and self-optimizing capabilities.
Ms. Khair balances her responsibilities at Nokia with her work at the Silicon Valley chapter of Blood Cancer United. As a cancer survivor, she is highly supportive of the organization’s work and volunteers in various capacities, including her mentoring services with the Student Visionaries of the Year program in both 2025 and 2026. She also supports the Journeys to Heal organization.
Ms. Khair studied software engineering as an undergraduate. She graduated with honors from Carleton University with her master of science in telecommunications technology management. She has secured numerous patents and publications during her career, including patents involving autonomous network space and autonomous brain function. Outside of her professional and philanthropic activities, she enjoys skiing and coding with her daughter.
